Change

Even though it may feel like summer outside, I can see fall in the air. I love that golden haze in the air that welcomes pumpkins, caramel apples, and a time for hot tea!

And with a change in seasons, there are not only leaves changing, but perhaps changes in your own life. Perhaps exciting ones, or maybe they are uncomfortable, even scary ones.

"If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it."
  ~Mary Engelbreit

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
~Victor Frankl

"We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance."
~Harrison Ford

I know it is easier said then done to change something. If you really have the passion and drive behind a decision to change something about yourself or your life, I know it is possible. And each change, even when hard, will eventually turn into lessons learned. Joy will come, scars will be healed, hearts will come together, things will change again. It is hard to see the light during times of hard change, but we must carry on. And if you are experiencing good changes, then enjoy every minute of it!

Good morning sweet and wonderful friend! THE IMAGES HERE ARE SO PERFECT for your constant theme of orange and pinks and browns...and look at these darling little felt "envelopes!" Your kindness and sweet encouragement about my art is special to me, for YOU are an artist and you understand the journey. Funny however, I had been wanting to write, and that is my NUMBER ONE GOAL, but now this comes up about my art. I will see how I can combine the two.

Well, gotta go to work; it is Friday however, and THAT MAKES ME SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!

What a meaningful post. We just moved from Toronto to Boston, and it's been a huge change. It's been hard and they are definitely challenges to it but it's been wonderful as well. Everything gets easier with time, that's for sure.

Have a great weekend Shawna!

It's still a little hard for me sometimes to accept that change is good but I think I will try to take that last quote on board and be more positive about it.

I love the image of the camera and the pumpkin together - gorgeous!

I thought I would share this song with you. It's one of my faves. It really spoke to me at a time when I really needed it!

If you knew that you would die today,
Saw the face of God and love,
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you knew that love can break your heart
When you're down so low you cannot fall
Would you change?
Would you change?

How bad, how good does it need to get?
How many losses? How much regret?
What chain reaction would cause an effect?
Makes you turn around,
Makes you try to explain,
Makes you forgive and forget,
Makes you change?
Makes you change?

If you knew that you would be alone,
Knowing right, being wrong,
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you knew that you would find a truth
That brings up pain that can't be soothed
Would you change?
Would you change?

How bad, how good does it need to get?
How many losses? How much regret?
What chain reaction would cause an effect?
Makes you turn around,
Makes you try to explain,
Makes you forgive and forget,
Makes you change?
Makes you change?

Are you so upright you can't be bent?
If it comes to blows are you so sure you won't be crawling?
If not for the good, why risk falling?
Why risk falling?

If everything you think you know,
Makes your life unbearable,
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you'd broken every rule and vow,
And hard times come to bring you down,
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you knew that you would die today,
If you saw the face of God and love,
Would you change?
Would you change?
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you saw the face of God and love
If you saw the face of God and love
Would you change?
Would you change?

Sorry, it's long!
Lots of love Poppie Girl

First I'd like to say ♥love the little change in your site :) And yes, changes are sometimes scary because it takes us out of our comfort zone. We may not fully enjoy life if some things just don't change it becomes routine, no flares or hints of excitement. Life is unexpected always. It's like having no marshmallows on your cup of cocoa :) do you like marshmallows on your cocoa because I sure do!
