Tie a Knot and Hang On

I think it's common to get to "that point" in any project where you feel like it's not going to work, or your not happy with it. At "that point", it's hard to move on and see the end result. It's then where belief that sticking with it will pay off in the end and a little encouragement can go a long way.

"When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."
-Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Everything will be okay in the end.  If it's not okay, it's not the end."
  -Author Unknown

"When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn."
-Harriet Beecher Stowe

"A bend in the road is not the end of the road... unless you fail to make the turn."
-Author Unknown

"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

No matter what project you are working on, whether it is something at work or a personal goal, remember to push through the hard, discouraging times. You will be so happy in the end that you persevered.

If you are working on any DIY projects, here's an encouraging article for "When Your DIY Seems Doomed".

ready to work

I've been really wanting to make a new looking office/work space. I truly believe that being in an inspiring looking atmosphere helps when working. I know I get more done when I'm surrounded by things that I love. I am really loving these light and and simple office spaces...

Where do you blog or do work? Do you have a special place?

The Path of the Sun

I love Anthropologie's new arrivals. They perfectly express summer with beautiful colors and patterns inspired by fire, clouds, fireflies, and sangria.

How is everyone's summer coming along?

P.S. Thank you to everyone with your encouraging comments on the last post. You are all great!

Courage Doesn't Always Roar

I have been feeling a lack of inspiration lately.

Sometimes it's hard to know what steps to take to go in the direction of your dreams.

"Everyone knows there's a tremendous intimidation in just getting started...So rather than getting started, think ahead, then reverse engineer it back to the solution...Visualize the success of your idea. Then work your way backward to the solution until you find the obstacle."
-The Imagineering Way

-Mary Ann Radmacher

-Unknown

"Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need to open the door is just one more good idea."
-John Rohn

-Tom Krause

-Bo Bennet

As I wait for inspiration, I hope that you are finding inspiration in your life. And remember to go in the direction of your dreams, no matter how big they may seem.

Eclectic Glamour

I've had this home in my inspiration file for far too long. Browsing through, I got inspired all over again. This Los Angeles home mixes Hollywood glamour and comfortable eclectic perfectly. I especially love all the metallic details.
