real love exists

I meant to post this last week, but I have had no time at all! Even though this is late, I wanted to make a post for my grandparents, who celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

The stories they tell and the love they show are priceless. They are such a wonderful example to everyone around them of true love. They mean the world to me.

If you doubt love at all, it is not necessary, for I have seen that real love exists.

"True love begins when nothing is looked for in return."
-Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Oh how I love Saint-Exupery! And I too, believe that love lasts forever but there are different types of love....the greatest of course, is the love that begins our lives, forgives the bad choices we make in life and cradles us in eternity. That same love I believe is the force that holds all things together whether between parent and child, man or woman, between friends....What a sweet post my dear friend......

Thank you for coming to visit. You are always so sweet!!! LOVE TO YOU! Anita

Dear friend, May God bless them and their love for ever!!!! That is amazing hearing stories like that!
How are you, my friend?
Is it very hot there yet?
Well, the rain gave us a break, two dry sunny days. But the sky is already gray...it is a little cold here today.
Aila sleeps her afternoon sleep and when it happens I jump on my desk and visit my best friends!!!
I wish you the best always, dear Shawna!!
Love, Bela

You are just so sweet...I love that you dedicated this to your grandparents for their anniversary! I hope they had a wonderful celebration. I think old love is so beautiful, two elderly people holding hands or just sitting side by side, you can see their love and feel it. I love these photos and that quote at the bottom...

"True Love begins when nothing is looked for in return" SO True!

holy moses--64 years!! just the other day ate lunch at our fave mexican place and the couple in the booth next to us were in there late 80's early 90's. they sat next to each other in the booth. he wore jeans, a plaid shirt and cool sneakers. she wore a deep turquoise top, skinny black pants, turquoise rings (!), a hand-embroidered bag a la jadetribe (!) and when they got up to go donned a huge pair of sunglasses. he had a margarita on the rocks. she had a glass of white wine.

the chef and i looked at each other in amazement. it's like we got a glimpse into the future. hope ours lasts as long as theirs and your grandparents...which might be physically impossible at this stage, but i'm willing to give it a go.

xoxo,
c
