House Tour Inpsiration: Alcove Studio

I keep getting inspired from Apartment Therapy's house tours lately! Last week, they revisited a 285 square foot San Francisco studio apartment located in Lower Nob Hill. I love the simplicity about this space.

I was also inspired by what the owner, Natalie, had to say about decorating her space. She said that she "was inspired by the architecture and original elements of the studio and sought to draw attention to the beautiful alcove, mouldings, hardwood floors, radiator and claw foot tub. I wanted the furnishings and décor to flow seamlessly from the building’s character and charm while adding modern touches along the way."

Loving these old-fashion prints!

A lovely area rug. And isn't this coffee table storage space great?!

Love everything about this!

I haven't come across too many apartments with architectural elements, such as a niche like this!

This studio just goes to show, sometimes the smallest spaces are the cutest!

That bedroom area is magical! And I want a white sofa someday - I'll have to wait until my son's grown out of his 'creative colouring' (= drawing everywhere) phase!

i seriously wish one of these amazing people would drop by my place and give a few pointers.

the space in this post is so amazing. it's well laid out, tasteful and just pretty. you want to be there.

i agree with you - small spaces are oftentimes the best - maybe b/c it's not as overwhelming? i guess it could go both ways...

i like this post a lot.

Wow that puts me to utter shame! I think I'm so limited by my space and my apartment is 2 1/2 times the size of this one. It's gorgeous!

I love that photo display. Usually you see pictures bumped up against each other, not the rectangular shape like it's shows above. Very cool!
