Miette

Miette: French for "little crumb". If that wasn't cute enough, I have discovered this adorable pastry shop called Miette. It is located in the Ferry Building in San Francisco, California.

I have yet to go there, but I definitely will. From what I hear, it is as cute as it sounds! I am so glad I found them online so I could get a taste for what they have. The best part? You can actually order their cookies and confections online (cakes excluded). Here are some wonderful treats they offer:

Princess:
Genoise sponge cake moistened with Chambord, a layer of raspberry jam, pastry cream and lightly sweetened Straus Family Creamery whipped cream, covered with white chocolate fondant.

Strawberry Tomboy:
Three layers of chocolate cake filled with strawberry buttercream.

Bumblebee:
Yellow cake with whipped chocolate ganache.

Scharffen Berger:
A moist chocolate cake made with Scharffen Berger’s cocoa powder and 70% chocolate and covered in a bittersweet, truffle ganache.

Yellow Strawberry Cupcake:
Rich yellow cupcake topped with fluffy strawberry buttercream.

Lemon Shortbread:
Fresh, light, buttery, and zesty goodness.

Lemon Debutante:
Three layers of vanilla sponge cake, homemade lemon curd and very light lemon buttercream.

Gingersnaps:
Fresh, dried, & candied ginger, and lots of Straus butter are what make these cookies gloriously snappy.

Fleur de Sel Caramels

Vanilla Marshmallows:
Soft, sweet clouds of vanilla would pair wonderfully with a cup of dark chocolate cocoa.

Sugar Flowers and Leaves:
Decorate your cupcakes and cakes with these cute flowers!

Rosettes:
Rose geranium meringues.

Go check out all of Miette's cute wonders here. And if your in the Bay Area, I would definitely check them out!

Well my dear,
This is very tantalizing...It is a good thing to keep a few thousand miles between this decadent little shop and myself...I think...I would very much like to try...a princess cake...Ahhhh....wouldn't it just be glorious to be able to call up a girlfriend and say "let's go have tea and princess cake...smirk...that my dear, would be FUN...
Yes, the shop is a little nutty right now...but I have three amazing ladies who keep the ship a float. I am off for a short little holiday, with my dearest...very excited...will blog about it in the next day or so...well off to bed...sweet dreams...Rosie
