Book-Themed Baby Shower

From all your lovely comments on Martha's poppies, I can see that some of you are familiar with the Martha Stewart Living May issue, so sorry for this repetitiveness, but this baby shower is too cute not to share!
I really think this theme could be incorporated into any party, not just for a baby shower!

Martha Stewart Poppies

I know I'm a little bit late on this, but I finally got to enjoy the May issue of Martha Stewart Living, and it is so beautiful! Of course, I love their poppy theme!

Ready for a poppy party?!

Good Things

I just couldn't resist. Here's a few other ideas I couldn't pass up sharing from Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2010! And this will be it (for now), I promise! :)

Make a poster, instead of having a guest book, for guests to sign so it can be framed and hung up after!

Hang store bought wooden initials on the entrance to the ceremony. I just found some at Michaels craft store. I think these could be used on a dessert table or anywhere at a wedding to help personalize it a little more. They could be hung in your home afterwards too!

Add a little extra something by making your own bridesmaid tulle sash.

Make these adorable favors yourself using Hershey's Chocolate Miniatures and clip art provided by Martha online!

Sealed With A Kiss

While enjoying my look through Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2010, one of the things that stood out to me the most were these adorable wedding ideas inspired by Xs and Os!

Kisses mobile. It's like it is raining kisses!

Virgin cherry limeade, raspberry martini, and a sweet Negroni.

A kiss place card.

Lip-shaped confetti.

Marshmallow kisses on butter cookies for favors.

Xs and Os cake!

Summer Nights

For those of you who still have some warm summer nights left, let Martha Stewart be your guide to make the last of summer a little extra special!

I love this idea for candle chandeliers. Such an inexpensive way to add some sparkle to your outdoor space.

Why not invite some guests over for get together to say farewell to summer nights with these cute lantern invitations?

Make your own drink umbrellas!

Keep bees away by covering food with an embroidery hoop and muslin.

And add some magic to your space with these vellum lanterns.

Jenna & Jon: Brooklyn Wedding

Here's a real wedding and another favorite of mine featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Summer 2010. It is adorable! Their wedding has a bit of a circus inspired theme.

A beautiful bouquet of peonies, tea roses, and plumes.

The couple wore a picture of their deceased grandparents. He wore this pocket watch and I love her heart locket!

The couple used cupcakes instead of a cake.

The signature drink, the Pink Elephant. Fruit juices, vodka, and grenadine.

Circus-themed invitations.

The couple bought these ticket stubs on ebay. It looks like a cake, but is in fact Styrofoam.

A kiss on a carousel.
