autumn dinner party

December is usually the time to have a holiday dinner party, but why not in November? I know there is enough work that goes into Thanksgiving, but why not start the season early and have some guests over for an Autumn dinner party!

Have a rustic Autumn party like this adorable one. Love the cinnamon stick tied to the napkins!

Apple centerpiece

Serve caramel apples on fall leaves!

For party favors, give away preserves or a cute little bag of trail mix.

Decorate door knobs with this little bouquet or even hang it on each chair. Just wrap a straw placemat around a fall bouquet.

If you're serving soup, serve it in an actual pumpkin!

Stuffed Pumpkin with Cranberry-Raisin Bread Pudding

Place a leaf on each napkin and wrap with twine.

Along with serving coffee and tea, offer hot chocolate for an extra special fall treat!

Love this idea for a candle holder!

All of these ideas could even be used for a fall wedding! If you do decide to have an Autumn dinner party, or have had one, I would love to hear about it!

Oh dearest, what a beautiful feast and it has been so long since I have had a Fall dinner party!!!! IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!! THANK YOU for always coming with kind words and encouragement! Now tell me, how is the art coming along for you????? You had mentioned my Etsy shop. Well, the first two weeks were UNBELIEVABLE! I was selling to the point that I could not keep up, and NOW.....NOTHING! DAY SIX MARKS another day of no sales. BUT I think I am learning from dear friends that this will happen and I need to come up with a holiday offering. My blog post was a poetic musing on how I am growing wings ONLY by exercising the necessary PLANS to make my dreams into reality. IT is all so new to me, but after I do what is necessary to make my work MORE VISIBLE, then I will see if it is going to be successful. But I am willing to try. I wish you great happiness and success and that every day will be an opportunity for you to take one step closer to what YOUR HEART DESIRES!!!! BIG HUGS, Anita

That is true, I grew up always going to holiday parties and events during December. And I've always thought of having my own traditions aside from the ones I grew up with.
Love the rustic theme! The center pieces, and favors are good DIY projects! Oh aside from serving soup in a pumpkin why not in a bread too!

I love Autumn because it seriously entices all the senses. I love the rustic colors, sounds from walking on fallen acorns/leaves and the smells like apple, pumpkins and cinnamon sticks. Cinnamon is my all time favorite smell.
An Autumn dinner party sounds like a fabulous and fun idea.
