colour my life

When it comes to painting, I love playing with different colors...seeing what matches, what will blend well together, and how different shapes and patterns of color can make up a piece of artwork.

Vivid colors are all around us in the most ordinary of things. Take notice of small things around you...they might be the most inspiring.

You have hit it perfectly on the head here, at least for me....FINDING and OBSERVING THE DETAILS then FOCUSING ON THOSE....for me as a writer, it is of the utmost importance to be observant then SKY'S THE LIMIT as to what I can use as a subject for a poem..then I JUST HAVE TO OBSERVE IT AND FOCUS....perhaps for YOU as an artist, it is the same thing....

Find that SUBJECT, the colors..the details...then SWIM OUT TO THE HORIZON and like in my post, we BOTH have to exercise our muscles. We have grand imaginations and dreams...NOW it is time to work and that is not easy, but we can do it!

THANK YOU FOR COMING TO VISIT ME! I am a bit out of sorts with a MAJOR back pain but off to the doctor's office today!!!

Basically what I've got on hand..and well, the shape. I recently finished up a slouchy hat for a friend. Finally, using a more natural brown white tone because it made me think of her. I edged it in brown. Not sure what she'll think.

Yummy, fabulous post!!!! You just made me realize how much I miss painting. Ugh, it's been far too long...and photography stepped on its toes. My poor brushes....I think it is high time to go grab some canvases.

Everything ;) Music, food, I get inspired by the roses I walked by today! I said to my girlfriend, I have to make a lotion that smells just like that, not so strong, but delicate and heavenly like a real rose. Hope you're inspiration is going well ;) Happy Monday!

Well, my only crafts are knitting and baking. In knitting texture is what inspires me. I love super soft wool that just makes you want to touch it. And then of course, colours are exciting too.

In baking, it's how things come together. how certain mixtures and ratios form different kinds of doughs. It's pretty remarkable that just a different ratio of flour can make something a crispy cookie and something else a fluffy cake.

I love that peeling paint! I'm inspired by colors too, and I love me a good overheard conversation. Of course, travel does it for me too. It makes me introspect more than I normally do in my day to day. And by introspect, I guess I mean journal. The blog's great for that, too, though I've been wretched at keeping it up lately. It's this longing missing puzzle piece in my life for nearly 3/4 of every week. haha

I like pale, pale colors - very soft mauves, lavenders, cornflower blue, white, and all shades of grey. And I've been trying to find and develop my photography style. Its frustrating and fascinating.
The pics are gorgeous, very bright and summery!
