On Letting Go

Balloons and hot air balloons have always had this appeal to me. This certain inspiration behind them...like they were a symbol on letting go. A reminder that it can be hard to let things go, but sometimes we have to in order to live the life we are supposed to live. Letting go is usually hard for most of us. For some it can take years or maybe even a lifetime. But, there is freedom on the other side. It's quite a process...

...so we can begin again.

It's amazing how hard it is to let go, and how afraid we are to let go, but how free we will become afterwards.

Hot air balloons make me think of "Up"! Love that movie.

This is such an incredible concept. It's so hard to let things go, but we're only hurting ourselves by holding onto them. I'm going to work on this one! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a fabulous weekend!

Uhmmmm are you okay? And I have heard of this thing, where you put a piece of folded up paper in a balloon, blow it up, tie it on a string, and just let it go, and float away...it sounds nice :)

Ok, I know it is early, but this is my favorite post of the day! I've been wanting to do a post on balloons lately, and this one is beautiful.

We all have things to let go. Your post has inspired me to write these on a balloon and let it go!

And that is what I call a POWERFUL post... I am speechless... getting divorced 3 years ago was the best 'let it go' experience and opened up so much good in my life and it was "quite a process" but an amazing one. Thank you for the beauty of your posts!

I honestly believe some things are so familiar you do have a fear of them no longer being there and therefore you are fearful of moving on and as you said, "Letting go."
But in order for us to grow and become who God would have us to become, sometimes we must do just that.
It is like Eleanor Roosevelt said many decades ago:
"You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
Have a lovely weekend and thank you for giving me something to think about this week, cheers!

Hello! I love your post. I am smack-dab in the middle of a major Let-Go right now. This was a great reminder for me that it is good sometime to let go. Thank you!

My Friday Pretties does get refreshed every week. There are several people who told me that they wnat to be in every Friday. Usually I go through and take the blogs out that haven't requested to stay in. I was super lazy this week. So, I am sorry! My fault. I was busy letting go...Ha ha
I will take your link off. Thanks for letting me know. Hope you come back soon. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!

What a gorgeous collection of photos, and a great concept of letting go... sometimes if we could let go of certain emotions easier (anger, frustration etc) our lives would be less complex!! :) Hazel

oh my goodness...

such a sweet post. i couldn't agree more with the quotes imbedded in some of the images you gathered here. and there is no greater feeling of letting go of things that can sometimes take over your life. you gotta let go and live, be free as balloons and the air we breathe.

{thanks so much for considering my blog, your comment and now following. i am following you back. looking forward to hearing from you again}

happy weekend to you.
