ready to work

I've been really wanting to make a new looking office/work space. I truly believe that being in an inspiring looking atmosphere helps when working. I know I get more done when I'm surrounded by things that I love. I am really loving these light and and simple office spaces...

Where do you blog or do work? Do you have a special place?

Adorable. My studio looks like bah!

I feel the same way. I hate going to a messy work place where there are papers all over the place and the trash can is full. I just can't seem to think straight when the place is messy. I love that last picture, I would definitely want a space like that.

I have a very simple office corner in my room. I wish it were more exciting and inspiring as the ones in your post, but at least there's no clutter and I get work done.

I definitely believe in having your own work space. I'm still working on mine slowly, but it's coming together. No rush. I definitely recommend it! You will be inspired everyday.

p.s. if you want more ideas Shawna, go to my workspace folder on pinterest. I promise I will send an email soon! Have a sweet day!

I work in a studio room which is not in my house. It's airy and has a lovely view, but still it tends to get too cluttered. Love the first image - très chic! xx

i love the way you've converted the closet into a workplace. keep's it organized when in use, and out of sight when not :)

Precious Shawna,

Oh, your comment on my post really touched me dearest. My dream is that my writing MOVE people because we all have a dream, a vision. For those of us who KNOW what that dream is, we are fortunate. Many people don't even believe they can obtain their hopes, and others simply don't think about it. But ONE DAY AT A TIME as you say, is the way to do it. We simply cannot bite off more than we can chew, because we literally will choke ourselves into disappointment. But one day at a time adds up, and you will do it.

NOW...for these spaces! THAT SECOND ONE with the touch of turquoise really sets me in a great mood! Do you know where I blog and write? In a closet! teheeee...yes. My beautiful harp room is perfect for little ol' me.....it is an old house and the vintage doors with glass knobs are so charming. My harp studio is off to the side of our front room and it is graced with French doors...when you walk in, there is a closet to the rear of the room. My husband built me a shelf and a keyboard drawer and all I do is pull out my chair and the keyboard and VOILÀ!!!!! I love it. It is quiet, private, because when I am done, I just close the door and no one sees the industrial look of the computer, for I prefer a vintage look throughout the house.

You will achieve your goals dearest...I have a darling blog friend who in the last two years, HER ART WORK HAS MADE HUGE STRIDES because she paint FAITHFULLY EVERY DAY. She is amazing. And so are you.....Anita

Love this post. The pictures are all so bright and happy and all look like wonderful places to work. I blo where ever I land...usually my kitchen table because it has the best light in my whole house...and I almost always have pretty flowers on the table or nearby. And then there's the food....
Have a wonderful day!

i blog at work - i don't go NEAR a computer after work - using one 8+ hours a day is LONG enough!

I love all of these office spaces, they are all so neat and pretty. I blog in my kitchen, which isn't very special. Haha

I love that last picture and wish my work area was so clean! I am very organized, but if you looked at my desk you would see a cluttered mess, he he he!
Have fun deciding!

Unfortunately I blog on the couch. Not too inspiring... But my office is a different story. That's where I can really get creative :)

Hope you're having a great week! xoxo

I would love to have that space in the 4th photo. All of that light is inspiring, and I am loving those fresh pops of color....SO pretty!

I blog in our bedroom at a little antique secretary hutch that closes all up and hides all of the lap tops and equipment. I have an art desk up in our room too. But it doesn't look quite as pretty as that space in the 4th pic. Oh well, it works...:)

All of a sudden clouds decided to visit us today. They are so wispy and pretty! It is raining in some spots, but it hasn't hit us. The temps are still pretty warm. Not 100's...probably high 80's or low 90's today?? I hope you are having a wonderful day!!

xoxo...Gloria

That first one is definitely my favourite...great yellow chair...although any bright airy space would do. I blog in front a window so I do get lots of natural light and view of the birds and racoons that visit haha!

Oh, I agree Poppie Girl, you need pretties all around, esp when you have to work!
I love the second pic, so so pretty!
I use to blog on my laptop, but now at my computer desk! It needs a little sprucing up! I am looking around and there is last nights popcorn bowl still here, oops!
Happy creating!!!!!
How did your graphic design job go?
Love you lots

I have my own work space at home, where I usually do my blogging from. And you're right: it's important to be nicely decorated and bright and with a beautiful view I might add. Lovely inspiration! :) Ada

oooh, i used to have my little place at the table in patagonia, but now i am in the rocking chair. it is like my chair for everything now, but we got it for nursing rowan. but it's killing my back with work. of course i kind of just move the computer to wherever r is, and when i'm wearing r, i stand at the bar-height table. it's pretty tricky to get work done and take care of a baby at the same time. i hope you have fun decorating your special place!!!

These are look so chic and inspiring. I love that bright chair in the first one! :) I have a really nice flat computer screen and a window infront of the desk. Enjoy your day sweety.

Love the yellow chair, stunning. Think you've visited my work space, I usually have to shove everything into the drawers to keep it clear and tidy...

These are all so gorgeous, especially the last one! I hate where I work. I share a space with my husband and it's cluttered and just not me. I usually work out in the kitchen where I can see the garden and feel the sunshine - much nicer! I hope I will have a nice office one day though!

Hugs, Stephie x

I'd love to work from home and make use of our house instead of leaving it empty all day. When I do I hope my workspace looks like one of these

I JUST redid my office - and I am loving it! I painted the walls light pink and am adding a chandie. It is ME and it makes all the difference to go in there every morning to blog!
Great post!

All these spaces are so beautiful. I love empty spaces with a chair, a desk, and pictures or simple decoration.
Ha, my job...My space looks awful! They gave me one of those cubes. I wish I could decorated it. :)
