Brussels in Bloom

I am quite sure some of you have come across this, or already know about it, but I just saw this for the first time and thought it was stunning! A 300 square meter carpet made out of begonias! The web site said it "is based on a traditional medieval design".

"Craftsmen arrange the carpet by hand, directly onto the square’s cobblestones, without any soil. Grass and tree bark were also used to provide colour."


"The first Carpet of Flowers was created in 1971 as a way to promote begonias. Each square metre of ground contains more than 300 flowers."

Hanging Dresses

There is something so pretty about hanging dresses. It is feminine and pure girly! Over the last month I keep running into images with hanging dresses. I kept saving them because I liked them, but now there's so many, it is just great inspiration!

This last image is one that I took after hanging up my dress to hang dry it, then saw that I created my own hanging dress picture without realizing it!

Vintage Teacups

When I moved out for the first time, my grandma gave me a set of the cutest little teacups and saucers. I wouldn't actually use them because they are antiques, but I would have them on display (and still do), which helped cheer me up if I was ever lonely.

This one's for you Anna (of Cornflake!), who recently spotted the yellow teacup in a post last week. These make me happy because of the colors, floral detail inside each cup, and the cute little gold handles.

Fairy tales always make the little girl in us leap for joy at pretty dresses...

...magical gardens...

...tea parties...

...and pretty surroundings...

May you have a magical Thursday, no matter if you are waiting for your own prince charming, or dreaming of escaping to far off castles and having tea parties with mad hatters and rabbits. :)

Thank You Card Artwork

Before the wedding a couple Sundays ago, my friend (the bride) asked me to write out a couple thank you cards to the photographers just to say thank you for their work that day. I thought the cards were adorable and would make great art. I had no intention on taking one, until I messed up on the writing in one. I immediately slipped that one into my purse and decided to do this (simple idea, but I like how it turned out):
