Teal and Pink

Teal is one of my favorite colors. I find it inspiring no matter what setting it is in. And adding pink is like adding that finishing touch. These colors look great together!

I love how elegant teal can be...
...or how vibrant...
It is so versatile, not only can it be used in modern or elegant interiors, but also country...

And an outfit I would just love to have to go with my obsession for teal:
Top, shorts, sandals, and clutch all from Urban Outfitters (sorry, it's my weakness!) and necklace from Anthropologie.

House Tour Inspiration

One of the latest house tours on Apartment Therapy really stood out to me. The whole house has a nice symmetry, with one room flowing into the next with the use of similar placement of objects and also the use of similar shades of colors. I was most impressed with the arrangement of pictures and words on the walls of each room. It makes me want to buy words and interesting plates and picture frames to do the same thing!

Just loving the teal and yellow!

And loving the wall color in the kitchen.

More Blog Love!

Last week, the sweet, sweet Bren from Chasing Beauty awarded me another blog award! Thank you again, Bren. It is so nice of you! If I could, I'd give it right back because I enjoy your blog so much :) The Beautiful Blogger Award's rules are to list seven things about yourself, then pass it along! So first, here are seven things about me:

1. My favorite dessert is chocolate mousse!

2. I want to go to Ireland more than any other place in the world!
3. My favorite show is Lost...only three episodes left :( Last episode made me cry like a baby (and I hardly ever cry watching shows or movies!).

4. My heart belongs to Los Angeles (even though I don't live there).

5. My favorite movie is 500 Days of Summer. When this movie came out, it surpassed all other favorites right away! Depressing, beautiful, sad, happy, and cute all at one time.

6. I can speak some French. I was able to put it to use in Paris, but it is slowly fading because I never put it to use.

7. I love to draw. It is so relaxing and fun. I wish I could create art for a living!

And now it is time to pass the Beautiful Blogger Award to some wonderful bloggers who are very deserving of it because they always have beautiful posts!

Anna at Cornflake

Clare at Little Bear Stories

Persis Shah at Miles of Style

Tangerine Fairy at Overlooking Mississippi

I have been enjoying your beautiful posts!

Wedding Thoughts

Since I am still on the subject of weddings lately, I thought I'd round up some photos that have been in my inspiration folder for wedding ideas. It's not like I don't think about wedding stuff all the time as it is and just today a long lost friend invited me to her wedding. The one I was in this last Sunday was basically a perfect outdoor wedding. But, here are some of my other favorite ideas:

Outdoors. Love the bird cages!

A dress with lots of detailing done with beading and lace, all with a full skirt.

Mix matched place settings.

Photos with an old quality to them.

Old-fashioned flowers, such as peonies.

Hanging lanterns.

Unique "photo booths" for guests.

Sparklers.

And this picture...well, wouldn't you just love to get ready in a room like this?

Pink and Yellow

Today started to feel like summer. It was in the 90s, which somehow inspired me with thoughts of bright colors and summertime treats...

Pretty floral bedding.

Gelato on a hot day.

Fresh watermelon.

Going on vacations.

Lazy summer days.

And a summer outfit to match:
Anthropologie dress. Urban Outfitters wedge heels and purse. Earrings from Coffee and Cream Etsy shop.

The Perfect Spring Wedding

The wedding this weekend was so beautiful! The weather could not have been more perfect and everything was set up so beautifully for an outdoor wedding. It took place in the backyard of an adorable, old home. Since it was a very busy day, I could not take as many pictures to really show how pretty everything was. I hope to get some from other people! Here are some to get a glimpse of it at least...
The beautiful dress.
I thought the room where everyone got ready was so cute! It was an upstairs room with lots of antique furniture, floral pillows, and cute pictures hanging from clothespins.
The view from the room overlooking the ceremony area.
A perfect spot for a perfect ceremony.

First dance.
Father-daughter dance.
All the candles and lanterns were lit up. I know it is not the best view, but it was pretty in person!

Weekend Wishes

One of my best friends, and oldest (ever since we were babies!), is getting married on Sunday. It is great to see her so happy and excited. Tonight was the bachelorette party, tomorrow is the rehearsal dinner, Sunday the wedding, and I have to work in between all these events. I really feel just like this (and it's only Friday!):

I hope to be back with renewed energy for next week! And I hope everyone has the lovliest of weekends!
